A long, long time ago, people and mice lived in peace. For various reasons, however, the species were put at odds and, as it often happens, they became the worst of enemies. The old conflict has not been fixed ever since, and it goes on to the present day. It comes back to the streets of Warsaw on a dark winter night.
Sensitive and empathic Clara and her impish brother Fred receive a gift from their Godfather. It is a nutcracker that turns out to be an unusual toy. Through him, we will get to meet the spiteful King of Rats. Together, we will have to face an army of mice and protect all the good children from imminent danger.
‘The Nutcracker’ is a perfect play for those who are ready to let their imagination run wild and visit a gloomy, wintry Warsaw which is full of wonders.
The play is a modern interpretation of ‘The Nutcracker‘ by E.T.A. Hoffman. It explores a variety of theatrical techniques, allowing the audience to enter the world of dreams where imagination can run free.
